About Sue

Assistant Teacher, Assistant Coach, and J1 Official

My association with the club began in 1981, just after the club’s formation. I joined as a swimmer, competing with Bridgefield and City of Liverpool until I was 15.

I returned to the club in 2011 as a parent and began my teaching journey in 2018. As an assistant coach and teacher, my focus has always been to ensure that children enjoy learning to swim and developing essential life skills. I qualified as a J1 official in 2025 which has given me an insight into World Aquatic rules which has then allowed me to bring that back to the training pool to help with the clubs competitiveness in swimming galas.  

My journey with the club has been incredibly rewarding, and I am proud to help nurture the next generation of swimmer and coaches.
