Bridgefield’s Committee have been advised that the pool at Calderstones will be closed for the remainder of August 2026.
As a result no Bridgefield Swimming Club sessions will operate on Sundays during August.
We will provide a further update to confirm when Sunday sessions at Calderstones will commence.

Bridgefield Swimming Club, founded in 1981 at Bridgefield Sports Centre in Halewood, has operated from Halewood Leisure Centre for the past 15 years. We offer learn-to-swim, development, and competitive programmes, with many swimmers progressing to regional, county, and national levels.

We deliver the Swim England Learn to Swim and Development programmes with high-quality coaching, assessing swimmers every 10 weeks to track progress. In partnership with the City of Liverpool squad, we support a clear development pathway and have produced some of the region’s top swimmers.

Our friendly, professional approach prioritizes safeguarding and safe practice, reflected in our SwimMark accreditation.
Sessions run on Fridays, Sundays, and Wednesdays (by invited only).
